It offers scheduled passenger transportation services on approximately 700 mainline aircrafts and 5400 regional aircrafts; cargo transportation services through a dedicated fleet of Boeing 747-400 freighter aircrafts operated by Atlas Air Worldwide; maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO), including engine MRO management activities under the GE Aviation joint venture agreement; other third-party MRO arrangements for customer owned engines that are not covered by JV agreements or warranty programs; UAL TechOps business unit providing heavy airframe MRO at facilities located throughout the continental United States as well as performing work for international airlines out of San Francisco International Airport hangar facility in California. The company was founded in 1934 and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.
